I Have Said Too Much
I have said too much,
To you, my words now don’t matter,
They start to die as soon as they leave my mouth,
And you dig graves and bury them half alive,
The words that would die,
Unknown, unheard, uncared for.
Things that I had wished you knew,
Emotions that I wished you felt as well,
Lost their existence right away,
As you shut your eyes and ears,
And block all my roads to your heart.
Now, I have come to realise,
Why do some people stay silent,
Why they don’t bother to speak their hearts out,
Because uttering it out loud doesn’t work,
In a world where no one hears.
