Regrets

Regrets

They arrive only to depart,
Still, it’s an inevitable part,
To give my beginnings without an end,
The omnipotent feeling of a new start.

Light as life, right as rain,
Fast and fiercely, as they go,
They leave with bundles of my wishes,
They leave with bottles of my remorse,
And plenty of guilt they always leave me with,
And take away the habits I wish I could adapt.

Another year is here, and I’m hopeful,
But I am anxious I’d just let it pass,
And years after, I’ll be left with nothing but regrets,
Because there were some habits, I didn’t adapt.
