Here’s My Review of Eclipse by Grey RB – A Romantic Novella

     Eclipse by Grey RB is an impressionistic poetry book that reflects on the stages of love, relationships, and tragedy through poetry. The writing is very visceral and magically portrays the raw emotions with the endearing feeling of being loved by our loved ones. The poet’s ornate language is rich with metaphors and imagery which deserves all the praise. The book depicts the empty feeling in our hearts. As it goes down like a lyrical verse it speaks of the complexion of relationships and the vivid painting of love.

    Here are some of my favorite lines from the book:

  “Therefore, I’d rather accept the bitter taste of regrets, because sweet and sour are for those who try”

  –Dystopia

   This line just perfectly catches the sense of vulnerability of the heart. The writer magically summed up the helplessness through the words. The cadencing rhythm gives a flow like the waves on the shore.

  “If I talk about how messed up I’ve been lately will my feelings be a burden to you?”

  – Baggage

  The fear of judgment and opening up just described smoothly through this line. It narrates the side of our heart that we try to hide throughout our whole life.

  “Who will love us then? when every one of us is engulfed in pain.”

  –  Love again

In this worldly life in the battle of mind and the heart at the end our soul gets tired. We look for a ray of hope just like this which captures the strong desire of loneliness of the heart and the mind which feels helpless in the chaos of desire.

    Throughout the book, there is a subversive form of love with an unflinching touch. The poet’s free verse allowed an intimate relation of healing.  Overall a great book filled with raw emotion of desperation, and a brightening light to complex emotions.
